Key-Task Analysis

According to Buckley and Caple (2000), key-task analysis deals with finding out main or primary tasks performed within the job. They suggested that this type of analysis is carried out mainly with managerial and supervisory positions. Output of key-task analysis is a job description, which indicates main tasks need to perform. If managers want to select job specification, key task analysis should be done first.
